To all Colts Players, Parents and Supporters,

It is with a heavy heart and tremendous sadness that I writing this letter to inform you that this morning at 10:10 am Elaine Campbell lost her long hard fought battle with breast cancer.

Elaine was our Colts Team Manager from 2002-2006 and instrumental in the success of our hockey program. Elaine dedicated an unbelievable number of hours to our team over the years, organizing every golf tournament, dance, trip and get together we ever had. People like Elaine are the reason we stay in hockey and help out. Her spirit and motivation to make our team a success on and off the ice will never be forgotten. She was one of the most positive people I have ever met.

Elaine not only dedicated her time to our team, but also put in hundreds of hours on the AAA circuit to support her younger son Colin’s teams. Elaine was a fixture at the rink, 7 days a week; her loss will be felt by hundreds of hockey people in the GTHL and OMHA.

Kevin, Elaine’s oldest son of course played for our team, in fact when I first got the Colts to coach he was the first impact player I was able to pry away from a top team. His dad Richard coached our team up until the end of the 2006 season.

Last week I saw Elaine in the hospital and she was thrilled to hear that we finally won the Promittere Cup, and was anxious that the boys continued their success this season. For me personally any further success our team has in the remaining months will be dedicated to Elaine’s memory.

Today the T-Colts lost a very precious part of our history, but to those of us who were fortunate enough to have known Elaine, she will never be forgotten. Elaine Campbell will always be a Colt.
